During my training as a Health Visitor at Brooks University, Oxford, I undertook research where I co-developed the Parent-Held record ‘red book’. Following a degree in St Andrews University, I completed a PhD in Medical Anthropology, during which I had the opportunity to use VIG extensively in the NHS (working with young people with long-term illnesses, their families and multidisciplinary health teams) and the Medical School (to support medical students prepare for their clinical exams).
As a VIG Practitioner, I offer supervision to a wide range of professionals from different organisational backgrounds, such as CAMHs, medicine & nursing, educational psychology and social work.
I support VIG work through the family courts and provide VIG sessions for ante- and post-natal families and couples. As part of the Railway Children's Charity in Tanzania, I am supervising psychologists working towards their accredited and advanced accreditation.
I serve as a Trustee on the AVIGuk Board with specific responsibility for the ‘Anti-racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion’ (AREDI) advisory group.
I live in London, and I am able to offer VIG work/supervision both online and in person.
