About

Hello! I'm an Educational Psychologist, mum of two, and an Accredited VIG Practitioner, working towards Advanced Practitioner status. I'm passionate about the positive impact VIG can have on families, parents/carers and professionals, especially how it can build people's confidence, and the positive impact it has had on my own practice and parenting too.

I've also recently joined the AVIGuk team, along with Ava Carlon, as an Event Organiser. I'm looking forward to working with AVIGuk colleagues to put on the AVIGuk Conference in 2024, and getting together with this lovely VIG community.

My background: I've worked in and for Local Authorities for the last 20+ years - as secondary school teacher and then retraining as an Educational Psychologist. My last role was as a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist for Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Therapeutic Interventions at Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) 2014-2022. I recently took the plunge to go freelance with VIG, and am just getting started with this... advice welcome!

As a parent, psychologist and ex-teacher, I particularly love using this humane and positive intervention with families and staff in early years or school settings, but would love to develop my practice in working with new families. Please contact me on oonaghdaviesvig@gmail.com regarding freelance work, or odavies@videointeractionguidance.net for Event Organising role.
