About
I have always had a passion for VIG and used it extensively throughout my social work career, working with children and families around adoption, reunification and child protection. I also used VIG as a way of supporting families to make positive changes and avoid their children entering the care system where possible.
I provided VIG both in local authority roles and independently as a private social worker, and saw first-hand how effective it can be in helping families make meaningful changes in a relatively short time. What I love most about VIG is how transparent and strengths-based it is, and how it can bring joy, hope and positivity to families during what can be very difficult times.
I moved to the Highlands in 2024 and have now finished my social work career, but I’m really pleased to still be part of the VIG family. I currently work with AVIGuk, supporting the Board of Trustees with administration and providing course and learning platform support.
