Hello, my name is Nayyar Areehy. I am based in Birmingham and work in independent practice, bringing many years of experience as an Educational Psychologist to my work with children, parents and families.

Video Interaction Guidance has been part of my work for several years. What I love about VIG is the way it helps parents notice and build on small but powerful moments of connection and communication with their child.

Parents may come to VIG during times of stress, worry or uncertainty. My role is to help you slow things down, notice what is already working, and build from there. VIG is not about judgement or criticism; it is a gentle, strengths-based approach that can help rebuild confidence, trust, playfulness and connection. Enquiries are also welcome from families who are educating their child at home, particularly where learning has begun to place strain on the parent-child relationship.

VIG can be offered both in person or remotely so you do not need to be based in Birmingham to think about working with me. Every piece of VIG casework I have been involved in has led to positive outcomes.
