I am an Advanced VIG Supervisor and Trainer. I deliver Initial Training Courses, Mid-Point Reviews, Practitioner Accreditations and Supervision to those training to become Accredited Practitioners, Advanced Practitioners and Accredited Supervisors. Since January 2022 I have provided VIG training and supervision, delivery of VIG Clinical Skills teaching and marking of video tapes and VIG case reports for the University of Exeter's Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies Practice (Children, Young People & Families): Autism & Learning Disabilities (Jan 22 - Feb 24) and 0-5s (Mar 23 - current) pathways. Since July 2022 I have been co-investigator and VIG lead, providing training, supervision and fidelity coding of video tapes, for a feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial of remotely-delivered VIG with families of children with a learning disability referred to specialist mental health services, working alongside colleagues from UCL, Cardiff University, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and The Challenging Behaviour Foundation. I am a member of the AVIGuk Advanced Practitioner Accreditation marking team, the AVIGuk Publishing and Research Advisory Group and a VIG for Intellectual Disability Special Interest Group.
